Steve Wright is a life-long resident of North LA. After completing his accounting degree at LSUS, Steve started his professional life in public accounting working as a Tax Advisor/CPA for 8.5 years before going to work for one of his clients, a local retailer. These past experiences lead him to his current position as CFO/COO at Kent, Kent & Tingle, an independent commercial insurance agency. The change in employment prompted Steve to get fit and pursue his “running career.” At the urging of a friend, he joined USA Fit during the summer of 2011, training and completing his first half-marathon. While training for a subsequent half-marathon and 2 full marathons, Steve was introduced to 2 local running groups, the 5 at 5 (5 miles at 5:00am) and SMR (Saturday Morning Run). The training for and participating in running events that just a few years ago seemed out of reach has reinvigorated both his personal life and his career, and it is that aspect of the GOTR program that interests Steve and lead him to volunteer on its Board. He also believes it is important to model a healthy lifestyle for his 2 sons, Will and Luke.
