Girls on the Run of Shreveport is grateful for the continued generosity and support from the Guthikonda Family. The Guthikonda Family has supported Girls on the Run since its founding in Shreveport in 2013. This school year, the Guthikonda Family's incredible generosity will support and sustain the Girls on the Run teams at Eden Gardens Magnet Elementary and JS Clark Elementary. Girls on the Run was named the first recipient of the Cigna Foundation’s World of Difference Grants, a program that awards funding to nonprofits that are committed to improving health equity in the area's of children’s wellness, senior care and women’s health. The grant has enabled Girls on the Run to increase the number of participants in the program throughout the United States and potentially expand the program internationally.
